    History

        

    Aurangabad District Court old building was constructed in 1932 A.D. during the erstwhile Hyderabad State. It was a load bearing structure.

    The work of construction was carried out with bricks in lime mortar. The plaster of the building was also made in lime mortar. The roof of the building was arches made with bricks in lime mortar supported with iron beams. It was an excellent example of artistic work. It was ‘C’ Shaped building. In 2006, it was not possible to repair the old District Court building in low expenses it was decided to build new building.

    The work of construction of new building was started on 9.2.2007 by Ms. Ellora Construction Co. Aurangabad.

    The floor wise provision of New District Court Building is as follows :-

    Ground Floor : Built up area 5046.48 Sq.Mtrs, Facilities – Court Hall 11 Nos. Connecting corridor 4.00 m wide, 1 No. Lunch Room, Xerox Room, Stationary Room, Canteen, Bar typist, Bar (Ladies Room), Bar (Gents) Room, Bar Library.

    First Floor : Built up area 4646.33 Sq.Mtrs, Facilities – Court Hall 11 Nos, Bar Room, Two Lock up Room (Male and Female) Witness Room, e-Court Judicial Service Centre, Computer Room, Video Conferencing Room, Bailiffs Room.

    Second Floor : Built up area 4646.33 Sq.Mtrs, Facilities – Court Hall 11 Nos, Bar Room, AGPs Room, Office Conference Room, Consultancy, Member Secretary room of District Legal Services Authority, District Government Office.

    Third Floor : Built up area 4646.33 Sq.Mtrs, Court Hall 12 Nos, Nazarat Section, Strong Room, Nazarat Assistant Superintendent, Dead Stock, Muddemal Clock Room, General Muddemal Property Room, Account Section, Court Library, Public Prosecutors Room 8 Nos.

    Fourth Floor : Built up area 2326.75 Sq.Mtrs, Court Hall 04 Nos, Suites 2 Nos, Conference Hall 2 Nos (One Conference Hall is well furnished and Air conditioned), Inspection Branch, Pantry.

    Besides these there is one Main Entrance of the Building. The Building are divided into 5 main wings i.e. A wing, B wing, C wing, D wing and E wing. There are 7 lifts and 8 staircase for public use. Separate Lifts and staircase for Judicial Officers.

    On each floor separate toilets for Ladies and Gents. Drinking water facility is provided on each floor alongwith Aqua-guard.
